It was nice of you to give me what
you did; though it wasn’t much, it
was enough, I guess. I took it and
twisted it to my needs and got way more
mileage out of it than anyone
could have expected. Even I was
surprised. At times unhealthy, pushing
through the strands, but now I’m
on the other side, ready
to say goodbye and thank you.
Ready to acknowledge what you did for me,
albeit way after the fact.
It’s all I want, nothing more
(though being what I am, I would take more).
I will respect, however, your
desire to be left alone. You were
shocked at what I turned into and are
afraid of having to deal with more of that.
I understand.
