I love you in my acid rain

when all our layers of consciousness

we bind together in despair.

I love you in my quiet pride

and though our promise comes

unbound, slowly in this

sweet decay I absorb your

tired glow, your feeble hue,

your ingrown passion.

I absorb your flickering power and

you absorb my strange desire, and feed

upon its waste and shape your

mind into its folds and cup

your heart to catch its flow.

I love you in this cold tight

grip and keep you with me

in my pain. I love you in

this tragedy. I love you in

my sad decline.
