I have been taught to look inside,

to examine each emotion, each feeling,

to look beyond the eyes into the soul,

and think why.

What you see,

how it looks,

how it feels,

why you do the things you do,

to make sense of seemingly random reactions.

It’s what I do,

the only thing I’m good at.

This has set me apart from the rest of the world,

people are uncomfortable when I’m around,

they can’t understand me,

Most people spend their lives avoiding these things,

they don’t want to know,

and I realize that.

As years pass, I am more and more alone,

it’s the natural order.

I just wanted you to know.
